It appears the woman did not listen to the order to disperse and wound up getting bitten for her troubles. If she listens the next time a police officer tells her to move, the dog did its job.
Ah so that is your ideal world then?
Authority figures bark orders and if people don’t comply they can be brutalized by trained animals?
Perfect example of the trade off of security for freedom.
If the woman had been being brutalized by some thugs then she would have had the expectation of protection from the cops and their dog.
So in exchange she can expect to have authority figures lord over her in their course of duties — even to the extreme that she has to get mauled for not listening – a new crime apparently (non-cooperation).
I don’t like the trade off personally but it is the whole problem with ‘civilization’… The whole game is a trade-off of surrendered freedom for security.
