The We The People Tour rolled out of Richmond Virginia late in the night on 10 July 2006 after a very furitfull meeting heading for Raliegh North Carolina.

We The People is a non profit organzation that stands in the gap between the American people and the Gorverment in order that our Constitution and the Rights of all the people are not trodden upon. Approximately six years ago the We The People organization submitted it’s initial First Amendment Petition for Redress of Grievances to officials of the U.S. Government. Since then, WTP has continued to Petition officials and representatives of the People of America and has unflinchingly stepped up its demand for answers from our servant government regarding a number of well documented constitutional torts, including violations of the Constitution’s War Powers clause, the Money clauses, the 4th Amendment privacy Rights, and the Taxing clauses. Since that first Petition, styled as a “Remonstrance”, the government has summarily ignored We The People’s Petitions.

The First Amendment to our Constitution states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

To arouse the awareness of the People of the United States to the meaning and importance of the First Amendment’s “Petition Clause” and to the significance of our lawsuits, the WTP organization is bringing its profound message to all 50 states this summer.

During the 71-day nationwide tour which started on July 1st, WTP Chairman Bob Schulz will conduct daily public briefings to members and meetings featuring local and national opinion leaders who want to join the chorus of folks asking “Why?” and saying to the federal government, “We want you to answer the questions!”

We will invite a variety of local and national opinion leaders to speak at our meetings and rallies. They will include attorneys, law professors, journalists, authors, actors, directors, athletes, coaches, business men and women, union heads, pastors, priests, evangelists, local DJs, representatives and wannabes, stars from the big and little screens, Freedom Keepers, and activists from all walks of life.

We have special interest in inviting local leaders of various movements defending against erosion of Constitutional rights to bear arms, own property, enjoy privacy, obtain due process, and have an honest, ethical government free of corruption. We want such groups to join our cause because our cause supports their aims of preventing illegal immigration, electronic voting, national ID cards, Radio Frequency Identification chips in humans, judicial corruption, executive orders and signing statements, warrant-less spying, and other police state tactics.

The tour culminates with two national-scale events: A September 18th Constitution Day event in Washington DC and in each state capital, and An October 9th Give Me Liberty 2006 event in Washington DC.

New York to Washington Walk for Freedom for Human Rights in Eritrea

An International group of human rights advocates representing the Eritrean Anti Tyranny Global Solidarity and ASPER: Associazione per la Tutela dei Diritti Urmano del Popolo Eritrea will be marching from New York City’s Statue of Liberty to the Capitol Hall in Washington D.C. to raise awareness on the continued assault on human rights in Eritrea.

The “Walk for Freedom” (www.awate.com/petition/walk.htm) marchers are urging the UN and the US Congress to call for an International Commission to investigate the massive human rights violations in Eritrea.

15 years after independence, Eritrea remains a one-party military state where the free press is banned with independent journalists suffering in jail. Thousands remain in jail for opposing the war with Ethiopia, opposing the forced conscription, exercising their religious rights, and demanding accountability of the non-elected president of the country, who has been in power for the last 15 years and continues to refuse the implementation of the constitution.

Along the route from New York City to Washington D.C., marchers will make stop over in Elizabeth, New Brunswick and Trenton (New Jersey), Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), Wilmington (Delaware), and Aberdeen and Laurel (Maryland).

March coordinators, Saleh Gadi from California and Dania Avallone from Italy are hopeful that the march will generate enough interest and support for human rights in Eritrea. “The Walk for Freedom follows similar marches in Europe,” said Avallone, one of the co-founders of ASPER. “We will march for the voiceless and the invisible languishing in the dungeons of the oppressive regime in Eritrea.”

“We are inspired by our friends in Europe who are joining us in the march,” explained Gadi. “The messages of solidarity from Africa, Australia, Canada and within Eritrea have added resolve to our peaceful struggle for respect of human dignity in Eritrea,” Gadi went on to say.

Apart from massive human rights violations in Eritrea, marchers are concerned that forcibly-conscripted Eritrean youth will be used in Eritrea’s recent military support for the Supreme Somali Union of Islamic Courts, an islamist militia that is fighting the internationally-recognized transitional Somali government.

A.R.M.-New World Order

The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day.
