The Unemployed and Alternative Career Seekers Find Hope and Direction on the 4th of July with new Manifesto from Stephen J. Healey

The Unemployed and Alternative Career Seekers Find Hope and Direction on the 4th of July with new Manifesto from Stephen J. Healey

Rochester, NY (PRWEB) July 03, 2011

On this 4th of July, as America celebrates Independence Day with barbeques, hotdogs and fireworks, millions of unemployed, middle-aged Americans can find new hope and direction in Stephen J. Healey’s free Manifesto Version of the book, Mid-Life Re-Creation: How to Escape Corporate or Unemployment Hell and Create Prosperity with Passion, Purpose and Honorable Profit. This free Manifesto, available on Healey’s website starting July 4, 2011, tells Healey’s personal story of how he created his own right livelihood after being forced out of what he once thought was a secure corporate job. Healey’s intention in releasing the Manifesto Version of his upcoming book is to give those who are unemployed, or being crushed by their corporate jobs, a new vision of hope and possibility for a prosperous life on their own terms.

“It seems appropriate to release this free Manifesto Version on the 4th of July as we celebrate the day when our forefathers declared our independence from tyranny and our right to create our own destiny,” says Healey. “It is my deepest hope that the Manifesto gives those who desperately need it some hope and light, and that they can take action and re-create a life of prosperity and personal happiness, despite the new world order.”

The free Manifesto Version of Healey’s book Mid-Life Re-Creation: How to Escape Corporate or Unemployment Hell and Create Prosperity with Passion, Purpose and Honorable Profit is available at http://www.sjhealey.com.

Where do Tier 0.5 Manufacturers Go From Here?

Where do Tier 0.5 Manufacturers Go From Here?

(PRWEB) November 14, 2004

Five years ago the authors of this report published (under what was then the Financial Times Automotive banner) a management report called “The Emergence of the Tier 0.5 Suppliers – Implications for the automotive supply chain.” That was in 1999 at the end of what was by any reckoning, a tumultuous decade for the auto industry culminating in the spin-off of Delphi from General Motors and Visteon from Ford, two moves which it was easy to predict, would change the dynamics of the supply chain. The Tier 0.5 FT report had itself started life as an update to a 1996 report, The Automotive Supply Chain – New strategies for a new world order. It soon became obvious, just three years later, that events had moved so quickly that a whole new approach was needed. What was really being discussed was not the traditional supply chain but strategies that had moved some suppliers into a different realm – that of the supply chain integrator of the “Tier 0.5 supplier”, an original phrase attributed to Magna International.

Did Nike?s Unique Tiger Ad Stem From Superman I, The Movie?

Did Nike’s Unique Tiger Ad Stem From Superman I, The Movie?

THE HOLIDAY PARTY (A Tale of a Corporate Takeover)

(PRWEB) April 13, 2010

Attorney, Richard Wanderer, and the author of a fictional suspense genre novel, THE HOLIDAY PARTY (A Tale of a Corporate Takeover), believes there are strong similarities between the recent controversial Nike ad and the Superman motion picture.

After thinking about it, he said, “For those who saw SUPERMAN I, there is a scene in which Superman’s father, long deceased, appears to Superman in the form of a 3 dimensional hologram. In SUPERMAN I, the movie, Superman’s father tells Superman about his background and his purpose on this Earth. Superman’s father is guiding him with his wisdom. Superman says nothing and just listens to his deceased father’s voice. While the Nike ad did not put an “S” on Tiger Woods, the viewer instead sees the ‘Nike symbol’ blatantly on Tiger’s shirt. Like Superman, Tiger says nothing, but listens to the wise words of his deceased father. The Nike people didn’t give Tiger a cape, but then again, they could have. The audience in SUPERMAN I and the viewers of the Tiger Woods’ commercial can come away with the idea that they both have learned from the wisdom of their respective fathers – both Tiger Woods and Superman will be better because of this.”

The heroics of professional athletes on the playing fields of sports help Americans escape, even for a few hours, from the problems they often face on a daily basis. Certainly, the stress of the workplace – or lack of a workplace to go to – ranks high among these concerns. Richard Wanderer, in addition to being an attorney, has spent many decades in NYC and LA working in the advertising community. In his novel, which deals with the takeover of a benevolently owned magazine publishing company by a huge media conglomerate, a reader learns through the actions of one of the novel’s characters things they can do to help them when problems like this arise. Kirkus Discoveries has said of this novel, “The author clearly knows this territory …A sharply observed saga of workplace tyranny.” Anita Finley, a columnist for the Miami Herald and publisher of Boomer Times & Senior Life has called it a “… a real page-turner.” THE HOLIDAY PARTY (A Tale of a Corporate Takeover) its website is:

From Mr. X to Mr. Y: in anticipation of Mr. Z?

From Mr. X to Mr. Y: in anticipation of Mr. Z?
One of the many things demonstrated by the enormous amount of attention that the global public, devoted to something that was, essentially, a family affair unfolding in a less-than vital country in a less-than vital region is the desperate shortage of clarity as to what matters and what does not.

About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

A BRILLIANT NEW SEQUEL TO THE LOST REBELLION

The year is 1315. The place is Lancashire, England. Sir William Bradshaw, Lord of Haigh, has failed in his revolt against the Earl of Lancaster. Fleeing to France, he and his two lieutenants find no reprieve. The continent is a warren of thieving barons and corrupt churchmen. The peasantry are rioting, Christians are slaughtering Jews, and Dominican Inquisitors are scouring the countryside for heretics. The three Englishmen fall prey to a local warlord and are held for ransom in a dungeon near Nantes. For seven years they witness every manner of barbarity while they pray for a miracle.

Left behind in Lancashire, Sir William’s great love, Lady Mab, must carry on without him. Unaware of William’s fate, she holds on to Haigh Manor with extraordinary cunning and personal sacrifice. Ultimately, she is coerced into sharing Haigh with a would-be usurper called the Welsh Knight, and when Sir William suddenly, reappears, the stage is set for a most Unholy Avengement.

Deftly constructed at 340 pages, Mab’s Cross Trilogy: Volume II: Unholy Avengement is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Fiction/ Historical category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Mab’s Cross Trilogy meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $ 15.95.

About the Author

Jon Norris is a genealogist, writer and amateur historian. His research has unearthed a number of fascinating characters whose histories read better than most fiction. A persistent theme marks their lives; one of tyranny and rebellion. It seems that each generation has been faced with that terrible choice: whether to support the tyranny of their rulers or rise up against it. Mab’s Cross is the first of a series that will celebrate these heroic struggles. Jon Norris studied fiction writing at the New School in NYC and is a member of the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance. He lives and works in Maine.

Radio Talker Paul McGuire Says, “Conservative Talk Radio Suffers from Fahrenheit 451 Factor & Has Turned Into “Republican Radio”

Radio Talker Paul McGuire Says, “Conservative Talk Radio Suffers from Fahrenheit 451 Factor & Has Turned Into “Republican Radio”

(PRWEB) June 9, 2005

Syndicated radio talk show host Paul McGuire says, “Conservative talk radio suffers from Fahrenheit 451 Factor when it comes to President George W. Bush.”

Paul McGuire, whose conservative talk show host is syndicated and broadcasts from KBRT in Los Angeles believes, “Conservative talk radio show hosts have one standard for the Republican Party and George W. Bush, and another standard for the Democratic Party and someone like Hillary Clinton. Like the firemen in Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 they censor anything they don’t believe in.”

Paul McGuire who hosts a live 3-hour talk show from Los Angeles from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. is the author of 14 books. He is a frequent guest on CNN and the Fox News Network. But, McGuire said, “Every time I turn on a conservative talk radio show its like I am hearing apologists for the Republican Party. They act like they are Sportscasters rooting for their favorite team. I think its boring radio and people are tuning out.”

McGuire actively campaigned for President George W. Bush and Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. In fact, while doing a Fox News Network interview in L.A., Governor Gray Davis walked over to McGuire and thanked him for his show. This surprised McGuire who had actively supported Schwarzenegger.

McGuire said, “Except for some good economic ideas from Arnold, there is no difference between him and Governor Gray Davis. Yet, conservative talk radio show hosts in California protect Schwarzenegger. On the national level President George W. Bush has run up a staggering deficit, created a Patriot Act that has the power to create a police state, failed to protect the borders, and he gets a free pass from most conservative radio shows. If Bill Clinton or a Hillary Clinton had done this, they would have gone berserk. Conservative talk radio is all over Howard Dean, and Dan Rather. But they are living in a glass house.”

Paul McGuire, who is a strong conservative, believes that “conservative talk radio is writing its own death warrant by carrying water for the Republican Party. Unless they develop some integrity they are becoming exactly like the liberal media they criticize. We don’t have truth, we have propaganda.”
